Denali to Fairbanks

Jeff and Dawn at the park entrance
We are getting ready to board the train from Denali to Fairbanks for the final leg of our journey. The train ride is scheduled to be 4 hours in length. We should be in our hotel room around 8:30 p.m.
Today we rented a Jeep and drove for 4 hours just seeing the sights. We drove up north to Healy and turned around and headed south to Cantwell, all in the hopes of getting another view of Mt. McKinley. I'm not complaining because the landscapes during the drive are fantastic. It was nice to be in a car driving ourselves versus everyone else doing the driving and making the stops. There were a lot of clouds today with some intermittent breaks with the sun. Didn't take too many photographs today.
The temperature has dropped. We tried to eat lunch outside, but I only lasted about 10 minutes and said, "we've got to go in." After lunch we went to the Sourdough studios and had our pictures taken on an Alaskan Dog sled. You'll all have to wait to see them because they will be our Christmas cards this December. HA! HA!
