Our first field assignment was to shoot trees. We walked a few blocks from the hotel to Orleans Square (one of nearly 2 dozen squares in the city of Savannah). 
The following images were my submissions for the first assignment. We had a break for a few hours to get lunch and process our images. Shortly, we will be getting the critique of the images from a composition. 
The first image, is an abstract of the trunk of a tree. Image two was taken with my Lensbaby which blurs the frame. The last image was just my attempt to play with the light that was coming through the trees.
