Our day began with a visit to the Cathedral, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world. Built on the site of the former great Mosque, its original minaret, the Giralda Bell Tower, still stands. After touring the catherdral we had time for lunch and walking round the narrow streets and the many beautiful plazas of the quaint old Santa Cruz Quarter.

In the afternoon we took the bust to traveled by to La Calera, a sprawling farm where a typical Andalusian farmhouse stands along with a bullring. We were warmly welcomed to the farm with beverages and fresh pastries. We had a tour guide that took us out to see the bulls that are used for bullfighting. A matador took us into the fields bycart to watch the bulls up close, and explain Spain's fascination with bullfighting.

He is studying to be a lawyer and has trained to be a bullfighter. He went into the fields and helped to get the 3 year old bullls to run past our wagon. The bulls are raised for 4 years before they are ready to go into the ring.
