The journey began for Beki and I on Thursday evening from Detroit Metro Airport to Amsterdam, then a flight to Lisbon. Our travel was very smooth except for the sleep deprivation we were both experiencing. Fortunately, for both of us when we arrived at the hotel our room was ready and we were able to get unpacked and take a nap. We know that most readers would advise against it, but for those that know us it is a requirement.
